Grand Canyon Skywalk ?

Get the Facts before you waste your money.

A MUST READ NEW EVIDENCE!!

In a time where most Americans can hardly afford a Vacation don't be a victim of the SKYWALK BS

Dave's Vegas Adventures does not recommend the Indian Skywalk!

Las Vegas Event Tickets

Quote from Photographer Mike Malandra "It's a dam shame that this piece of manmade garbage was built." and " Leave it to the selfish human race to destroy every corner of this planet for nothing but selfish gain".

We couldn't agree more and so will you when you fork out a bunch of money for an attraction that is so bogus...

Grand Canyon West is Beautiful

BUT.......before you drive all the way out to the Grand Canyon WEST...... JUST to see the Indian Skywalk....Get the facts

Hi I'm Dave and in My Opinion..... Save the Expense of the Skywalk.

The area is very beautiful as god created it, but the skywalk is a joke and not what they said it would be...

You will not walk out on the sky walk and look straight down 4000 feet... and  you won't look straight down and see the river...

Save the extra 25 bucks and play the slots in Vegas..

Grand Canyon Sky Walk at Hualapai Indian Reservation

What they said in a Press Release: Grand Canyon Skywalk
Scheduled to open Jan. 1, 2006 Hualapai Indian Reservation

FALSE the RIVER is 1.4 Miles from the Skywalk!!!

Visit Willow Beach, Rent a boat and cruise up to the Hoover DAM , now this is worth the money, voted best trip ever!

Thanks To Arron Thompson for allowing us to use the picture to the left.

Dear Dave

I totally agree with you. You speak about $25 fee. We ended up by paying a lot more and is was as you already said absolutely not worthwhile.

After we had survived 14 miles dirt road by rv , we entered the reservation, fee $20.00. We parked the car and we had to walk through several “shops’before we ended up at the cashier. We were with seven persons. We had to pay $29 p.p for the bus and $29 for the skywalk.  And not allowed to make any pictures and neither from the edge near the skywalk, however at the 2nd bus stop no one cared about you anymore when you made a  picture from the edge. This last spot was way more beautiful than the sky walk. It was the biggest rip off ever.

Best regards

We were so ticked off by the time we reached the ticketing office at the top that we refused to pay the 35.95 per person just to ride the bus to the skywalk.  Then the extra 32.00 per person to walk on the skywalk.  The road was horrible.  Slushy mud on the 20.00 parking lot was ridiculous.  Old shoes could be ruined just stepping out of the car. A wasted day, a good four hours from Vegas.  This place shouldn't be open to the public until the road and parking lot are paved.  At their prices they could pave them with gold.  The building was shoddy and the bathrooms dirty.  I was really looking forward to this but would have felt like a fool paying their outrageous prices.

Yes We Get Letters

Lots of them...

but this one says it all

The Canyon where it over hangs is NOT 4000 feet... it's more like 1000 feet.... and where is the river....?

Google Earth the Location and see for yourself.

The River is North of the Skywalk and over a mile away.....

This picture was taken next to the skywalk,,, great FREE View...

The MATH via Google Earth

The river at it's closest point to Eagle Point is at Approximately 1165 feet above sea level

Eagle point where the walk is placed is at approximately 4615 feet above sea level.

The River is approximately 1.4 MILES! from Eagle Point.

The canyon the walk extends out over is at approximately 2775 feet above sea level at it's center, which is .34 miles from Eagle Point.

Eagle Point

4615 feet approx

River

1165 feet approx

Difference

3450 feet approx

And the River is over a Mile away

When you walk out on the Skywalk and look straight down.... you will not be 4000 feet above the river.... The canyon slopes so you'll be lucky to be 800 feet.... NEW EVIDENCE

So you are better off going up to the top of the Las Vegas Stratosphere which is 1146 feet high

Final note...

There is more there than just the skywalk....

The canyon views and the Indian's themselves are very  rewarding. There are plenty of places around eagle point where you can walk to the edge without paying / wasting 25 bucks

Also don't blame the Indian's for the Skywalk.. it was created by a Chinese developer ...
